Selective Colouring needed.

Step 01.

First duplicate the layer by going Layer » Duplicate Layer. Set it at Soft Light, 50% Opacity.

Step 02.

Layer » New adjustment layer » Hue/Saturation or click the half black, half white circle at the bottom of the layers window.
A new window/panel (depending on your version of photoshop) will appear. Choose Master: Saturation +30

Step 03.

We are now going to bring out the shadows. Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Selective Colour you can also choose this from the black and white circle.

Reds: +20, +8, -9, +1

Yellows: 0, -17, -17, -5

Neutrals: +4, 0, -4, -8

Blacks: 0, 0, 0, +15

Step 04

The next two steps will make the colour in the image bolder. Make another Selective Colour Layer.

Reds: -100, 0, +100, 0

Yellows: +100, 0, -100, 0

Step 05.

Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Selective Colour

Reds: -100, 0, +100, 0

Yellows: +100, 0, -70, 0

Cyans: +49, 0, 0, 0

Magentas: -27, +6, 0, 0

Whites: 0, +50, -29, +69

Neutrals: 0, 0, +21, +10

Step 06.

Layer » New Fill Layer » Solid Colour and fill it with #080e3d, set the layer at 100% Exclusion.

Step 07.

Your layers box should now look like this. Now add, text, brushes, whatever to the icon to finish it.
