Remember all FTP programs are different and so some steps may be different.
Don’t forget to upload to your public_html folder in your remote browser.
Step 01.
First you need to get an FTP program. You can use an internet based one like net2ftp or FTP programs for you computer. Or type in your search engine free ftp software and it will give you a list of ftp programs like FileZilla and SmartFTP.
Step 02.
You then need to use your log-in information that your host gave you. Using this information, click File » New Remote Browser or New and input the information when the session properties comes up. Fill out the form and click OK and you will be connected to your website.
Step 03.
To upload files from your computer you have to open a Local Browser (if it is not already open). You can do this by clicking File » New Local Browser.
Step 04.
You can now start transferring files. Click on the file you want to transfer from your computer in the local browser section. Then find the place you want the file to go on the remote browser (your website). Click on the little arrow in the middle that points to the remote browser section, or just drag the file over to the remote browser, when you are ready to transfer it to your website.
